What is a Hackathon?
A hackathon is a weekend-long event where students come together to learn the latest technologies and build innovative projects. These projects can range from web or mobile development to hardware, or anything in between. Throughout the weekend, Knight Hacks hosts workshops, social events, networking opportunities with sponsors, free food, swag, and more.
How long is Knight Hacks?
Knight Hacks ran throughout the weekend. Check-in was from 5 to 8 PM on Friday, the opening ceremony began at 8 PM, and the event ended at 6 PM on Sunday.
Who can attend Knight Hacks?
Anyone who was a college student age 18 or older, or who had graduated within the previous year, was welcome to attend.
Do I need to have a team?
Not at all. Hackers could work alone, arrive with a team of no more than four people, or join a team at the event.
How much experience do I need?
None. Knight Hacks welcomes students from every academic background and skill level, with introductory workshops, industry mentors, and tools for first-time and experienced hackers alike.
Was travel assistance available?
Travel reimbursements and buses were not offered for the 2024 event.
